Steven Street

Steve Street writes clear, thoughtful fiction about people trying to hold on to truth when powerful systems begin to define reality for them. His work explores trust, identity, responsibility, and the quiet ways ordinary life can change. His writing is shaped by lived experience, close observation, and years spent paying attention to how records, institutions, and personal choices affect one another. Time on long trails, including sections of the Appalachian Trail, taught him to keep moving through uncertainty—one careful step at a time. Steve has lived in Italy, Hawaii, and several quiet corners of the American mainland. These places continue to influence how he sees people, communities, and the pressures that shape their lives. His books include No Further Action, a literary thriller about institutional power, and Holding the Line, a practical guide to facing institutional pressure with clarity and purpose. He lives with his wife, Reba.
